Assistant/Associate Professor

Speech Communication

Tenure Track

 

The Department of Communication at West Texas A&M University invites applications for a tenure track assistant/associate professor position in Speech Communication beginning, Fall, 2008.  A doctorate in Communication or a related field is preferred.  ABD’s will be considered, but a completed doctorate is required for appointment as an assistant/associate professor (tenure track). The successful candidate should be a communication generalist with ability to teach courses in qualitative or quantitative methods, performance courses, intercultural communication, nonverbal communication, basic communication courses, and communication theory; direct Master’s theses, conduct disciplinary research, and serve as a member of the Graduate Faculty. Experience with online course delivery/development a plus.  Housed in the state of the art Fine Arts Complex, the Communication Department has approximately 230 majors.
