It is with sadness that I inform you of the death of Thomas, "Tommy" Strause, the husband of Glynis Holm Strause. As you know Glynis has been the organization's parliamentarian for many years and has faithfully served the membership in other capacities over the duration of her membership. I have spoken with other officers and the organization will make an appropriate contribution in Tommy's honor. 12/29/09: Services for Johnny Riggins will be at First Baptist Church in Pflugerville at 11:00am on Thursday. Visitation is also at the church from 6-8 on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that a donation be made to a scholarship fund set up in Johnny's name at Pflugerville High School.

12/28/09: TSCA mourns with Jana Riggins. Her husband, Johnny Riggins, died December 26. Services are currently pending and details will be posted here as they become available.

9/8/09: Former TSCA President Marilyn Swinton, Associate Professor Emeritus at Texas State University died on September 7, 2009.

8/11/09: Service details for Joe Trevino. The rosary and the funeral will be at Joe D. Trevino Auditorium (Bishop HS). Thursday viewing 1-6:45 pm and then at 7 PM the Rosary. Friday 10 am funeral followed by procession to Chamberlain cemetary and then back to Auditorium for open mic. Only open mic after funeral.

Scholarship fund will be set up at a later date.

8/10/09: Former TSCA President Joe Trevino passed away today. He had a minor stroke last week, but multiple ones later this weekend. Funeral arrangements are pending. Additional details will be posted here as made available.

7/22/09: Paul Peterson, former Pearland debate coach, passed away on July 21. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 24. More information is available on the Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home website.
